It isn't very often that the ace of a back-to-back-to-back state championship program remains unsigned heading into his senior season.  But that is the case for Bishop Foley's Garrett Schilling.

Schilling has always won.  In fact he is an improbable 31-0 in his high school career. 

Talk with Buster Sunde, Foley's head coach, and it is abundantly clear that he thinks the world of Schilling.

Up to this point Schilling has thrived on two things: pitchability and competitiveness.

The 6-foot, 160-pounder typically sits 80-84mph with his fastball and possesses the ability to locate pitches at will.  As a result, most schools and scouts had the same thought process regarding him as a pitcher.  If he made a jump he would become a hot commodity.

Reports this spring and summer were more of the same for Schilling.  He kept winning but the velocity had not spiked yet.  At Top Prospect Games he pitched between 82-84mph. 

On Saturday it all changed when he sat 84-88mph with his fastball.

Schilling made his jump. 

Without question Schilling will force schools to make their jump as well.
