Top Prospect Games Recap

Our annual Top Prospect Games took place on June 20th at Grand Park in Westfield, IN. The event consisted of uncommitted 2024 - 2026 graduates and the talent did not disappoint. Without further ado, here are the top 10 performances of the event, along with a group of honorable mentions.

TOP 10 Performers

1. Reed Robinson, C, 2026, New Prairie HS

Despite being the youngest player of the event, Robinson walks away as the “biggest winner” of the day. The 5-foot-10, 185 pounder is really put together for a to-be-sophomore and used his physical strength to shine from both sides of the batter’s box - taking a mature round of batting practice and translating that approach to gameplay, where he picked up three hits against some of the top arms at the event. Robinson impressed behind the dish with quality receiving skills along with budding catch & throw abilities.

2. Trent Kulig, RHP, 2025, Andrean HS

Kulig immediately passes the eye test when he takes the hill and offers big upside with a powerful right-arm. A physical, 6-foot-3, 205 pounder - Kulig showcased a three-pitch mix for strikes to go along with a fastball that was up to 89 mph, looking the part of a potential next-level starter. The Andrean product spun a tight, 73-78 mph breaking ball that showed flashes of sharp bite to go along with a cut-change at 82-84 mph.

3. Michael Fliss, RHP, 2024, North Central HS

Fliss has been a hot name on the summer circuit as one of the top uncommitted arms in Indiana’s 2024 class and posted his most impressive performance to date at this event. An uber-projectable right-hander standing at 6-foot-6 and 200 pounds, Fliss worked his fastball in the 86-89 mph range, touching 90 mph a couple of times. The fastball comes out of the hand well and projects to continue to climb in velocity. Fliss showed his typical 71-73 mph curveball, but his 73-77 mph slider was impressive in this look, as he has made significant strides with this pitch since the preseason/spring.

4. Jack Grunkemeyer, RHP/1B, 2024, Batesville HS

Grunkemeyer has continued to rise up the 2024 rankings during this season after multiple strong performances this summer, including a strong outing on the mound at TPG. A durable, 6-foot-2, 205 pounder - Grunkemeyer attacks hitters from a low 3/4 slot with a fastball at 86-89 mph with both ride & run. A strike-thrower, Grunkemeyer has an above-average changeup that plays well off the fastball at 77-79 mph to go along with developing feel for a 70-73 mph slider.

5. Andrew Krupa, OF, 2025, Center Grove HS

Krupa may have been the biggest “riser” of the TPG, impressing with athleticism and upside in the left-handed batter’s box. A 6-foot-4, 180 pound to-be-junior, Krupa has all the makings of an exciting, up-and-coming prospect. The left-handed swing is simple with easy effort, producing multiple hits in gameplay, and his 6.86 speed allowed him to leg-out extra bases and range in the outfield.

6. Kellen English, RHP, 2025, Evansville North HS

Since we first saw English back in June of 2022, we knew at some point that the 6-foot-8, 205 pound righty had the chance to blossom into something special. English took his first steps toward that projection at TPG, sitting 83-86 mph on a fastball with downhill angle and little-to-no perceived effort. His long, lanky frame creates a tough look on hitters - while his long and uninterrupted arm action, combined with tons of room for added size/strength, suggests that this is not the last velocity jump English will make. He also flashed the ability to flip over a 74-75 mph curveball with depth. Expect this right-hander to continue to rise in the 2025 class.

7. Chase Bays, INF, 2024, Mishawaka Marian HS

Bays has hit in every look we’ve had this season and showed off one of the top overall hit-tools at TPG. An athletic, 6-foot, 190 pounder with strength - Bays uses a small, toe-tap stride with a controlled load that allows him to create explosive bat speed in a tight window. The bat speed allows Bays to really impact the baseball (98+ EV) and his above-average foot-speed (6.93) only adds to his exciting offensive profile. In the infield, Bays offers big arm strength across the diamond (88 mph) to go along with instincts on the dirt.

8. Aidan Pearson, LHP, 2024, South Bend John Adams HS

Pearson is another ‘24 arm that has posted a huge summer on the circuit, along with an outstanding performance at TPG. You always know what you’re going to get with the 6-foot, 180 pound southpaw - a mid-80s fastball (T 86), a 66-70 mph breaking ball that he can land on command, a 74-76 mph changeup that is one of the best changeups in the class, and above all a plethora of strikes.

9. Bryce Brabender, INF/OF, 2024, Mooresville HS

Brabender posted some of the loudest measurables during the workout portion of the event. An interesting combination of speed & power - Brabender ran an event-best 6.57 60 along with having the second-best exit velocity of the day (97.9 mph). A wiry athlete standing at 5-foot-11 and 160 pounds, Brabender has flashed power across multiple looks this spring/summer thanks to quick hands, an upward swing plane, and tons of quick twitch. A primary MIF, Brabender has above-average arm strength and enough athleticism to pop out to CF.

10. Kline Woodward, 3B, 2024, Bedford North Lawrence HS

A sturdy, 6-foot-2, 215 pound corner infielder - Woodward posted the best infield velocity of the day at 91 mph. To go along with advanced arm strength, Woodward possesses soft hands and quicker lateral movements than the frame suggests - projecting to be able to stick at 3B at the college level. A 6.90 runner, Kline offers impact on the offensive side of the ball with a very simple swing that allows him to be consistently on-time, along with strength in the barrel due to above-average bat speed and advanced physical strength.
