Super 60 Spotlight: Anthony Migliaccio

On Sunday, Feb. 7, Prep Baseball Report will host the 19th edition of its prestigious, flagship event: the Super 60 Pro Showcase. Since the event’s inception in 2003, more than 300 players have been selected in the MLB Draft, including 22 first-round picks and 25 second-rounders.
We started our our march toward the Super 60 earlier this month, by highlighting the prospects set to join us, shining a light on their impressive player profiles that they've groomed through their high school years and beyond.
Scouting Report
Strong-bodied Vanderbilt recruit stands 6-foot-1, 195 pounds. Versatile defender took I/O both in the outfield and behind the plate. Average arm strength (80 mph) with a longer draw and fair carry to bag; 2.08-2.13 pop times. Loose arm with plus arm strength from the outfield, measuring 94 mph which tied for first at the ProCase. Clocked a 6.78 sixty with quick feet, medium stride and average effort. More fluid right-handed swing that was longer through the zone, albeit with similar bat speed to the left side (RH 73.7 mph vs LH 73.4) and time to contact (16.0/15.5 seconds). Rotational acceleration from left side was nearly double (9.19 vs 5.22) to that of the right.
Swing: Switch hitting prospect put on a hitting clinic during BP from both sides of the plate. While swinging a wood bat displayed equal power potential on each side. Calm approach showing a swing with slight lift. Drove the ball to all fields. 90 mph exit velocity with a wood bat.
Fielding: In the OF shows an advanced approach working to the ball, small crow hop with a plus throwing arm 94 mph with good carry. In the Inf agile feet with soft hands. Shows good versatility. Athleticism on full display behind the dish, showing quick feet and a strong throwing arm. Moves swiftly. 2.00 pop time while throwing 80 mph. Ran a 6.96.
