Brennan Maisch, RHP, Dexter, 2013

Maisch is a long and lanky pitcher.  Brennan's high arm slot produces good angle at times. His breaking ball is a tight spinning 12-6 curve that is sure to miss barrels.  He does rush his delivery at times which can flatten out his secondary pitches and lose consistency but that is something he is sure to fix.  A great kid with good grades, Maisch has some upside to him. A state champion swimmer, Maisch knows how to compete and more importantly, win.

PBR: Where are you currently in the recruiting process? 
Maisch: I have been in contact with a handful of schools and have just begun taking official visits which I plan to continue doing throughout the fall.

PBR: What level of baseball do you see yourself playing at the next level?
Maisch: I will most likely be playing baseball at the D3 level.

PBR: What schools are you most interested in right now, and why?
Maisch: RIght now I am most interested in Denison University and Depauw University because they are both great schools academically and offer a great fit for me on and off the field.

PBR: What aspect of your game do you believe needs the most improvement?
Maisch: My velocity and location as a pitcher is what I will be working on this fall and winter.

PBR: As a player what is your greatest strength? 
Maisch: My ability to mix it up with secondary pitches such as my curve ball and slider.

PBR: What are your high school team goals for the 2013 season?
Maisch: I would like to contend for an SEC Conference Title as well as a District and Regional championship.

PBR: How did your 2012 high school and summer seasons go?
Maisch: My high school season was pretty successful. We made it to the regional final this past year which was new for my school. My summer season was fairly successful as well. We contended for a few tournament championships in different tournaments around the midwest.

PBR: What were your stats in 2012? 
Maisch: For my high school season I was 3-2 with a 3.47 era, and on my summer team I was 6-1 with a 1.97 era.

PBR: What is your GPA? ACT or SAT score?
Maisch: I have a 3.95 unweighted and a 30 on my ACT.

PBR: Have you decided on a major or narrowed it down?
Maisch: I plan to study business.
