PBR:  Where have you decided to attend college and why did you make this choice?
Boschma: I have decided to attend Northwood University.  Northwood is a great fit for me both academically and athletically.

PBR:  What other schools were you considering?
Boschma: I was also considering Ohio Dominican along with a few others.

PBR:  Was distance from home a factor in your decision?
Boschma: Distance from home was factored into my decision.  I wanted to be close enough to home that family and friends can come watch me play.

PBR:  Where did the coaches first see you?  How did your
relationship develop with their coaching staff?
Boschma: The Northwood coaches first saw me a prospect camp at Northwood in the fall, and also at the PBR Unsigned Senior Event at Spring Arbor.  I stayed in touch with them all throughout the fall and winter and really liked what they had to offer at Northwood.

PBR:  What role do the coaches expect you to play your first year on campus?
Boschma: My freshman year I will be gaining some experience and then have a chance to compete for a starting spot as a sophomore.

PBR:  What is your biggest strength as a player and how do you feel that will help your team?
Boschma: My biggest strength as a player is my versatility.  I’m able to play both the infield and outfield and I will be able to help out my team by not being limited to one position and stay in the lineup.

PBR:  Who do you play for in the summer and what was your most memorable experience from this past summer?
Boschma: I play for Diamonds and my most memorable experience from the summer was playing under the lights at Michigan.

PBR:  Now that you have your commitment out of the way, what are your goals both individually and for the team going into your senior season?
Boschma: Individually, I want to be an All OK-Red player and also grow as a leader.  As a team we have set our goals high to win an OK-Red championship and also repeat as state champions.
