October 2, 2014
Nick Lepore, INF, Warren De La Salle, Class of 2015
PBR: Why did you choose SVSU?
Lepore: I chose SVSU because of the great academic and athletic experience I would have. The campus and the athletic facilities were really something else.
PBR: What other schools were you considering?
Lepore: I was also considering Ohio University, University of Toledo, Albion, and Kalamazoo College.
PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you?
Lepore: I believe the coaching staff first saw me in a tournament last summer at the University of Michigan 18u tournament.
PBR: What team do you play for in the summer and what is your most memorable moment.
Lepore: My current travel team is PK Prospects, my summer team last year was Prospects Baseball. My most memorable moment was being able to play at Virginia Tech, and winning the tournament with some guys I've been playing with my whole life.
PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process?
Lepore: My expectations were to hopefully be asked to visit as many colleges as possible. Being a player, I really did not have a picture perfect idea of the recruiting process.
PBR: What were your stats last season?
Lepore: .312 for high school with 1 homeruns and led the team in RBI's and extra basehits.
PBR: Who is the toughest pitcher that you have faced?
Lepore: The toughest pitcher I have faced is Hughs from Stevenson, Kauffman from Brother Rice, and Wiesenburg from the HBF Maroons who is going to U of M.
