Pre-Season Preview: Tecumseh HS (SEC)

Today our Pre-Season Preview stays in the southeast side of Michigan with Tecumseh HS. The Indians of Tecumseh won the highly competitive SEC White Division in 2012 finishing 12-3 in conference play. They lost in their district match-up against Chelsea HS, who eventually made it to the State Quarterfinals.
With the arrival of crosstown rival Andrew Wood from Adrian HS, Tecumseh greatly improved their team. Simply put, Tecumseh is loaded. In addition to Wood, they return Jacob Britt, a Toledo commit, Phil Carey, Nick Cowen, and Eric Eldred.
Pitching and defense will be the mantra of this team throughout 2013. Eldred won 10 games for the Indians last season. Britt is the most proficient bat in the lineup but will also provide another quality arm. Phil Carey and Nick Cowen both have good potential on the mound with good pitchability. Finally they have added Wood, a left-hand pitcher who joins the stable of righties giving them additional depth on the mound.
Looking ahead, Tecumseh has thrust themselves into the state title conversation but we will see how their offense shakes out.
