Position Player of the Week

Harrison Wenson, C, Univ. of Detroit Jesuit HS, 2013
Wenson is a Michigan commit and has torn up pithcing this past week.  Wenson seemingly is heating up at the right time for U of D with the Catholic League semi-finals next weekend.  The 6-foot-3, 225-pound Wenson has been hitting at a torrid pace going 9-14 (.623) with two homeruns, one double, a triple and two walks.

Pitcher of the Week

Keegan Baar, LHP, Hudsonville HS, 2014
Baar is committed to State as a junior and continues to get better.  He won the state championship game for Hudsonville last spring and this year he is the ace of the staff.   Baar was up to 88mph last week but more importantly he threw his first career no-hitter.

Baar struck out 11 hitters against East Kentwood leading the Eagles to a 4-0 victory.
