Yesterday we featured two teammates, Riley McCauley and Greg McDade, who hail from a perennial powerhouse. Today we look at another two teammates attending Midwest Futures Games but this time from a rising program in West Bloomfield.
Robbie Jones and Chandler Sedat are two of the biggest reasons for the success of West Bloomfield this past season.
Jones is a pure athlete with an unrefined approach to the game at this point. He is a quick twitch athlete who plays the game hard and with a reckless abandon. The 6-foot-1 outfielder has an above-average arm from the outfield and runs well. At the plate he has good bat speed and shows the ability to drive the baseball.
Overall, Jones’ tools may not be the most polished of the group but they certainly are there.
Sedat has a chance to be special. The righty has a long loose whippy arm action with an excellent breaking ball. Sedat is one of the harder throwers on the team and was up to 88 mph at Top Prospect Games this June.
He has been a two-year starter for West Bloomfield and vastly improved his record this season recording eight wins for the Lakers.
