Michigan Insider: Top 2017 Uncommitted Pitchers

With the Summer season coming to an end and the 2016-2017 high school sports season as well as fall ball getting underway, we would like to take a look at some of the top uncommitted prospects at each position.

Today we are starting with the top uncommitted senior pitchers in Michigan. We will look to create a few top uncommitted lists each week, as you can see by our 2017 Player Rankings there are numerous talented prospects available.

Justin Campbell, Bishop Foley
Ranked: 12th in Michigan's 2017 Class
Scouting Report: 6-foot-6, 200-pound frame, highly projectable build with long limbs and plenty of room for continued physical development. For size and length, syncs up delivery and throws strikes. Arm works cleanly and freely out of high-3/4 window, shorter arm action, hides ball well, showed ability to work both sides of the plate, lower half of the zone, with 83-86 mph fastball. Throws both curveball and slider; 71-73 curveball showed consistent 12/6 action. Also flashed 73-77 changeup. As Campbell fills into his frame, he should see a significant velocity spike in the coming years.
College Outlook: Campbell is a tall 6-foot-6 prospect with room to fill out. Uses his length well on the mound with a long stride using a short arm action with deception. Has grabbed attention from a lot from several Division 1 schools.
