Several Michigan prospects made the rounds on the national circuit last summer and a few more grabbed some attention this spring. The weather makes it tough for scouts to get good looks, but LHP Sam Weatherly (Howell HS, MI) seemed to be catching some steam late in the season. He’s the lone PBR Draft 100 Prospect, but the state has several others to watch that could be solid picks now if signable, or we’ll hear their names again in three years.
57. Sam Weatherly, LHP/OF, Howell HS, MIWeatherly exploded onto the national scene after a breakout performance at the 2015 Future Games and later committed to Clemson. He has a lean frame at 6-foot-3, 175 pounds to go with an effortless delivery on the mound, high leg lift and loose arm action.
