PBR Michigan Scouting Director
We have updated our 2016 rankings based on what we have seen at our PBR showcases, practices, indoor workouts, along with other events over the cold winter months. With the spring season approaching we expanded our player rankings.
We are less than a week away from the start of practice for high school baseball in the state Michigan. The Michigan 2017 class has had made big strides in the off-season. As we enter the spring season a lot of teams across the state of Michigan will rely heavily on talented 2017 class.
Adam Proctor (C, St. Johns) remains the number one ranked player closely followed by Steve Mann (OF, Country Day). Jesse Heikkinen (LHP, Holt) is the number three ranked player in the 2017 class but the only committed player to Michigan State.
Below we take a look at "What's New At The Top", "The Risers", as well as "The Newcomers".

WHATS NEW AT THE TOP
Luke McGuire (3B/RHP, Sterling Heights Stevenson) jumps to the fifth ranked spot in the 2017 class after an impressive showing at the most recent PBR event in Lansing. McGuire flashed a mid 80s fastball on the mound and topped out at 94 mph on his exit velocity swings. Luke's older brother Zack is making an impact for Michigan State as a freshman in college.
