Junior pitcher Hann getting 'serious' interest

ROMEO - In less than one year Dominic Hann has gone from “not much interest” to visiting Big 10 schools.

“I went to a couple prospect camps in the winter but did not get much interest,” the seventh-ranked player in Michigan’s 2020 class said. “Then I made a big jump as a pitcher in high school. Interest started with the Top Prospect Games and I started talking with coaches. Then it slowed down a little in July, but after the Future Games it’s picked back up.”

Visits to Michigan State and Penn State highlight the recruitment to date of the 6-1 210-pound right-handed pitcher. Eastern Michigan, Kentucky and Toledo are others the top-rated uncommitted junior in the state has been talking to since summer began.

“I expected to get interest, but maybe not from the big schools and not as serious as it is,” admitted Hann, a junior at Romeo High School.

There is plenty of upside Hann can bring to the next level.

“They like my mechanics and how big and physical I am,” Hann said of what colleges are telling him. “They like my breaking ball, my fastball and my pitchability.”

Michigan PBR scouting director Aaron Wilson has seen Hann on numerous occasions.
