PBR: Why did you choose Macomb?
Caruso: I chose Macomb because of their head coach. I have known him for 5 years and I know he can get me to where I want to be.
PBR: What other schools were you considering?
Caruso: I was considering Caldwell University, Northwood University, Albion College, and University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point
PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you?
Caruso: The head coach has been the head coach of my summer team for the past 5 years and has seen me grow over that time.
PBR: What team do you play for in the summer and what is your most memorable moment.
Caruso: I play for Jet Box Baseball Club 18u. Most memorable moment had to be my walk-off single in the quarterfinals and then getting shaving creamed in the face by Matt Minaudo.
PBR: What factor played the biggest role in your decision?
Caruso: The factor that had to play the biggest role was the coach and the offer that was on the table.
PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process?
Caruso: I expected the recruiting process to be a lot easier. It came down to be a very hard decision.
PBR: What were your stats last spring season?
Caruso: Spring Stats: .306 BA, 20 singles, 3 doubles, 14 RBI - 1.000 F%, 209 Put Outs, 38 Assists, 1 double play
PBR: Who is the toughest pitcher that you have faced?
Caruso: Toughest pitcher I faced had to be one from Connecticut. Toughest pitcher from Michigan had to be Karl Kauffman or Colin Goslin.
