1. Joby Kawaski, LHP, Decatur HS, 2015- Kawaski is an intriguing lefty in the Class of 2015.  The 5-foot-10, 150-pound Kawaski has plenty of room to grow.  He has lanky levers.  Kawaski’s arm works extremely well.  He throws from a low ¾ slot and consistently pounds the strike zone. Coming off of basketball season, Kawaski sat 79-81 with his fastball.  He has plenty of arm-side run and some downward tilt on his ball when he is throwing well.  His breaking ball is a slider with sweeping action (67-69 mph).  His change shows advanced movement, as he pronates the pitch a bit giving it some late run.  He stayed down in the zone consistently the entire session.  We expect big things moving forward from Kawaski. Kawaski has good bloodlines, as his older J.T. was a First Team All State selection in Division iV the last two years and now pitches for GVSU.

2. Riley McManus, RHP, Parkway Christian HS, 2016- The 6-foot-2 McManus is one of the best in his class. McManus’s arm works well and is loose. His fastball shows good life at 82-84 mph.  His delivery has a lot of movement as he loads up and works downhill.  His secondary stuff has a good start and shows the makings of being above-average.  Breaking ball was more of a slider (72-74 mph). Out of the stretch, McManus will need to improve his load to maintain his velocity. Overall, McManus has a bright future ahead of him as he progresses.

3. Tommy Lentz, OF/RHP, Brother Rice HS, 2014- Lentz once again showed why he is one to follow.  A potential two-way threat at the next level, Lentz sat comfortably between 83-84 mph with his fastball.  His high ¾ arm slot gave him late life down in the zone.  His arm works quickly and effortlessly. His timing and rhythm are smooth. He needs to improve his breaking ball. It has gradual break to it. His change is more advanced (74-75 mph).  He kept it down in the zone as well.

4. Ryan Beckett, RHP, Brock University (CAN), 2013- Beckett is a physically imposing 6-foot-5 RHP from Canada.  Beckett used his frame well and pitched downhill.  His fastball ranged between 83-85 mph with arm-side run. He showcased two breaking balls. His 12-6 breaking ball is the better of the two (70 mph).  His slider backed up a bit but did spin well.  Arm was quick. Has some recoil in delivery with effort but certainly should have a chance to play college ball in the United States.

5. Ryan Bartkowiak, SS/RHP, Grand Blanc HS, 2015- Bartkowiak's future is on the mound at this point. His fastball touched 85 MPH and sat mainly between 82-83 mph.  He works from a long and low ¾ arm slot. As a result, his ball runs and cuts. Everything he threw moved. He will have to improve his command moving forward. His breaking ball is more of a slider with a sweeping action to it (75 mph). Bartkowiak is raw at this point but certainly has upside.

6. Logan Marable, RHP, Chelsea HS, 2013- Marable has a big frame and broad shoulders at 6-foot-4, 175-pounds.  Marable is dabbling in “momentum pitching”, as seen in his video.  His velocity topped out at 85 MPH on this day. He primarily sat between 83-84 mph. His breaking ball was harder than in the past (73-74 mph) with more 11-5 action than 12-6.  When Marable is at his best, he will tilt his fastball well and keep it down in the zone.
