No. 1 Lake Orion 2 Rochester 0 – Brad Schaenzer threw all five innings to get the win allowing two hits, no walks, and striking out five. Nick Deeg led the offense going 1-1 with a double, walk, and drove in both runs.
No. 2 Sterling Heights Stevenson 8 No. 20 De La Salle 2 – Riley McCauley got the complete game win allowing three hits, two unearned runs, and striking out 10. Brandon Hughes was 2-2 with a RBI and two runs scored, Dean Emanuel doubled, drove in two runs, and scored once, and McPade doubled drove in a run and scored once.
No. 2 Sterling Heights Stevenson 10 L’Anse Creuse North 2 – Brandon Hughes had three hits, including a leadoff homer, Zak Melcher had three hits, two for doubles, and Zack McGuire hit a grand slam that pushed a 6-2 lead to 10-2 in the sixth. Riley McCauley drove in two runs. Joe Wolf threw 4.1 innings to get the win and McGuire threw the final 2.2 innings to get the save.
No. 20 De La Salle 11 No. 10 Dearborn Divine Child 4 – De La Salle used a big third inning, scoring five runs, to get the win. Hosea Nelson had a big game at the plate going 2-5 with a triple, four RBI, and a run scored. Cole Clifton also had a big day going 3-4 with a double, two RBI, and a run. Dominic DiPuma and Joe Rydzewski each went 2-4, DiPuma drove in two runs and Rydewski scored three times.
No. 21 Macomb Dakota 14 Grosse Pointe South 4 – Travis Perkola threw a complete game allowing just one earned run on six hits to get the six inning win, at the plate he drove in two runs. Frank Maloney, Billy Karvounis, and Dan Herman led the offense. Maloney was 2-4 with a double, four RBI and two runs, Karvounis was 2-4 with a double, four RBI, and a run scored, and Herman was 3-4 with two RBI and two runs scored.
No. 25 North Farmington 9 MLK 0 – Alex Darden threw four no hit innings striking out nine to pick up the win. Nick Griffith and David Lett both finished the day 2-2 at the plate, Griffith drove in two and scored once and Lett drove in one and scored twice. Bobby Lett was 2-3 with a RBI.
Anchor Bay 6 Port Huron Northern 5 – Craig Black came through in the bottom of the seventh driving in the winning run to improve Anchor Bay to 4-3 on the year. Gary Landles had three hits and drove in two runs, he also got the win on the mound.
Goodrich 2 Flint Kearsley 1 – Mitch Young got the five inning win allowing just one run, three hits and striking out eight. Dylan Elizondo had the lone RBI for Goodrich in the win.
Hanover-Horton 15 Addison 0 – Ryan O’Dowd threw all four innings not allowing a hit and striking out nine. Connor Johnson had two hits and drove in three runs. Nick Heath doubled twice, had three hits total, and drove in a run.
Marine City 11 Lakeview 1 – Jared Headler threw five no hit innings striking out six in the six inning victory. Jake Healder and Brandon Robinson both finished the day 3-4 with three runs scored, Robinson also drove in a run. Jake Pelshaw and Zac Charbeneas both drove in two runs.
Michigan Center 10 Grass Lake 0 – Hunter Klaasen threw a five inning two hitter, giving up one walk and striking out 10. At the plate he doubled, had three total hits, and drove in two runs. Connor Brandt and Tyler Holmes each drove in two runs. Jordan Knapp doubled and drove in a run and Drew Dowding had two hits.
Millington 3 Bad Axe 2 – Colin Meacham threw five innings to get the win striking out eight. Joe Cole led the offense going 2-3 with two RBI.
Mona Shores 11 Muskegon 1 – Collin Adams picked up the win throwing all six innings allowing just one hit, one unearned runs, and 16 strikeouts. Austin Swiatek ended the day 3-3 with a double, a RBI, and two runs. Kyle Lawson and Joe Kostrzewa each went 2-3 with a RBI and Tyler Trovinger homered, drove in two, and scored twice.
Mona Shores 15 Muskegon 5 – Mona Shores big third inning, 10 runs, led them to another six inning victory. Tyler Trovinger had another good game going 2-3 with a triple, two RBI, and two runs scored. Kyle Lawson was 2-4 with two RBI and a run scored. Adam Ulfsax and Cory Sander each had a hit, RBI, and two runs scored.
Mona Shores 3 East Kentwood 2 – Kyle Lawson threw four shutout innings allowing just one hit and striking out 10 to get the win. Gaga Veltman led the offense going 2-3 with a double and a RBI. Austin Swiatek drove in two runs.
Mt. Morris 3 Dryden 1 – Kelsey Sorenson had a big day throwing six innings to get the win allowing just one run on three hits and striking out 13. At the plate he drove in two of the three runs. Cody Goodman had two hits in the game.
Paw Paw 6 Constantine 1 – Pat King got the win throwing six innings allowing three hits, one unearned run, and striking out seven. Bobby Yarbrough went 3-3 in the leadoff spot driving in a run and scoring three times. Kyle Williams was 2-3 with a RBI and a run scored and Cal Beck drove in two runs.
Pontiac 8 Hazel Park 3 – Dezon Cole was 2-4 with a triple, RBI, and a run scored in the win. Trajan Seay had two hits and scored three times. Tyshawn Chapman threw three innings striking out seven of the batters he faced.
Portage Northern 5 Vicksburg 4 – Portage trailed 4-1 going into the fourth, but put up four runs in the bottom of the inning to get the five inning victory. Blake Therrian got the win throwing four innings allowing one earned run, four hits, and striking out two. Josh Brelje and Tyler Stevens each drove in two runs and Josh Dentler doubled and drove in a run.
Romeo 3 Ford 1 – Greg Antoine got the win throwing five innings allowing just two hits and striking out four, he also drove in a run at the plate. Eric Shankin was impressive getting the save allowing two hits, but striking out six. Joey Gardner and Derek Staelgrave each drove in a run and Ryan Price scored twice.
Warren Mott 4 L’Anse Creuse 3 – Joey Slivik threw a six inning complete game allowing one earned run on four hits and striking out four. At the plate he doubled twice, had a RBI, and scored twice. Bryton Rohdie was 2-2 with a RBI and Pierson Heythaler also drove in a run.
