Antonio Flores 1B / RHP / Brother Rice, MI / 2019Rankings StateRank: 13 / POS: 1
BLOOMFIELD HILLS - A position change brought a renewed interest in Tito Flores from the University of Michigan. So much so that the Brother Rice senior has accepted an offer from the Wolverines and made a commitment to play for the Maize-and-Blue. “I made an adjustment for Rice,” Flores said in looking back to the spring season. “They had a senior who was going to play first base, so at the beginning of the year I began working harder on my speed and I transitioned to the outfield. I got quicker, worked on my drop steps and reads off the bat and it took off from there. “I really like it. I’ve gotten more and more comfortable. I played right field all year with Rice and this summer I played center field. Michigan watched me with Rice and then really picked up on me during the summer season.” Mid-American schools Eastern Michigan and Western Michigan appeared to be the front runners for Flores until recently. |
