Athletically Gifted 2012 Graduate Tyler Frank Resumes Search for Schools

Tyler Frank had it all planned out: he had a walk-on offer to play football at Central Michigan University.  A stud athlete on the gridiron, Frank was the perfect fit.

At 6-foot, 205-pounds Frank had enough size and plenty of speed to play at the Division I level.  But things did not go according to plan.

As a result of too many concussions, doctors advised Frank that it may be best if he decided not to focus on the pigskin anymore, instead focus his efforts on baseball.

Frank, who had a standout career on the baseball field as well, being named both an All-District and Academic All-State performer at Adrian High School, graduated in 2012. Instead of attending another school to play baseball, Frank decided to follow the family lineage up to Mt. Pleasant to become another Chippewa.

In the fall of 2013, Frank walked on to the baseball team, played well enough to be with the team throughout the fall, but due to the lack of rosters spots Frank had to be let go.

Undeterred, Frank decided to look elsewhere to continue his baseball career, so he recently contacted us and attended the Great Lakes Elite Showcase.  With several schools in attendance, Frank put on a show.  He proceeded to run a 6.78 in the 60 and throw 87 mph from the outfield.  His athleticism was apparent and impressed several schools in attendance. The 6-foot, 205-pound Frank is extremely athletic with broad shoulders and has good actions.

Since his performance Frank has had an uptick in recruiting activity and even picked up an offer as he is now weighing his options.
