The 13th annual Future Games took place on July 24-28 at LakePoint in Emerson, Georgia. Top uncommitted prospects in the classes of 2026 and 2027 participated in one of the most popular events each year.

There were 36 teams, including Team Michigan, with players representing 43 states plus Canadian prospects. Each team played three games the final three days of the event after all position players are put through a showcase workout on Wednesday, the first day of the Future Games.

More than 300 colleges from across the country were looking on as approximately 500 players participated in this year’s event. This year, more than 450 college coaches from all over the country were in attendance.

2024 Future Games: Team Michigan - Top Performers

Overall MVP

Carson Liedel RHP / 3B / Monroe, MI / 2026 Rankings  StateRank: 2 / POS: 2 OverallRank: 70 / POS: 16 Report: Two-way prospect from Monroe HS. Strength is visible at plate, with a homer in game two to the pullside. Power fastball up to 93 mph, while throwing the slider for strikes with tight spin. Solid make up, determination. Throws with conviction.

Best Pitching Performance

Cole Duhaime LHP / OF / Brother Rice, MI / 2026 Rankings  StateRank: 4 / POS: 1 OverallRank: 375 / POS: 32 Report: Top southpaw arm in the class, with the ability to work both sides of plate. Good spin rate on the fastball and slider. Flashed a changeup for a strike out in game. Fastball sits 85-87, topping 88 mph. Good make up. Tier I arm. Lots of upside.

Ethan Armstrong RHP / 3B / Garden City, MI / 2026 Rankings  StateRank: 1 / POS: 1 OverallRank: 54 / POS: 11 Report: Legit two-way prospect at next level with a fastball sitting low-90s, up to 93 mph. Above average slider with plenty of S/M in game three. At the plate, power to both alleys, showcased by a ground rule double vs Team Indiana. Stout frame at 6-3 and strength in lower half. Tier I player.

Preston Kann RHP / SS / Standish Sterling Central, MI / 2026 Rankings  StateRank: 41 / POS: 14 Report: Fast arm with ability to spin the fastball and slider with higher spin rates. Good movements down slope and pace between pitches. Fastball sits 87-89, that jumps on hitters. Chance to be a Tier I arm. Young for his class and still adding strength.

Best In Game Hitting Performance

Tier I player. In game two and three, reached base all four times, including two doubles.

Drake Roa SS / OF / Notre Dame Prep & Marist Academy, MI / 2026 Rankings  StateRank: 15 / POS: 4 Report: Strong showing with solid feet in middle with average arm. Abillity to string together strong AB's and had a couple hits throughout the week. Instinctive base runner who led Team Michigan in stolen bags. In game two and three, reached base all four times.

Best Workout Day Hitter

Cole Novara OF / RHP / Dexter, MI / 2026 Rankings  StateRank: 10 / POS: 1 Report: Top 60 runner for Team Michigan with a 6.48. Solid performance at Future Games capping it off with a lead off homer in finale vs Team Ohio. Above average defender that can get jumps on balls. Solid at bats and discipline. Will see added strength over the next 6 months.

Best In Game Defender

Dylan Fairchild SS / RHP / Detroit Catholic Central, MI / 2026 Rankings  StateRank: 9 / POS: 3 Report: Dynamic player with size and athletiscm that strung together quaality at bats. Above average runner with good arm across left side. 85 infield velo.

Best Workout Day Defender

Gabriel Geisner C / Troy, MI / 2026 Rankings  StateRank: 29 / POS: 2 Report: Solid defender with strong blocking and recieving skills. Muscle frame with raw power, strengthy bat. 1.90-1.92 pop time with 77 arm strength.

Best Baserunner
