2023 Future Games: Team Michigan - Workout/Gameday Notes

The 12th annual Future Games took place on July 26-29 at LakePoint in Emerson, Georgia. Top uncommitted prospects in the classes of 2025 and 2026 participated in one of the most popular events of the year.
There were 32 teams, including Team Michigan, with players representing 44 states plus Canadian prospects. Each team played three games the final three days of the event after all position players were put through a showcase workout on Wednesday. More than 375 college coaches from across the country were looking on as approximately 500 players participated in this year’s event.
Team Michigan went 1-1-1, defeating Team Team Select on Saturday, tying Team Wisconsin on Thursday, while losing to Team Missouri on Friday.

The Arms
Ethan Armstrong RHP / 3B / Garden City, MI / 2026Report: Top '26 in his class with electric stuff on the mound. 86-88 at the Future Games with ability to spin for strikes garnering swings and misses. 6-2, 200-pounds with plenty of growth to be had on the mound. |
Case Bosch LHP / 1B / Jenison, MI / 2025Rankings StateRank: 14 / POS: 2
Report: 6'5 LHP frame with a above average changeup. Sat 86-88 at FG with the fastball. Breaking ball features more 2/7 spin with room to develop the pitch into more north and south. |
Uli Fernsler LHP / 1B / Novi, MI / 2025Rankings StateRank: 145 / POS: 14
Report: Uli turned a lot of head at the Future Games, getting the start on Saturday vs. Team Select. Featuring a mid 80s fastball with deception and two offspeed pitches for strikes in the changeup and breaking ball. We were hoping to get the start we did from him, as it's what we saw in the late spring into the summer. Uli has a calm demeanor for a youngster with a great build for a LHP. |
Keagen Kohlhoff RHP / OF / Birch Run, MI / 2025Rankings StateRank: 18 / POS: 8
Report: Electric arm with highest FB at the event, at 93.7. Competes with intent and loads of confidence. Spun a breaking ball with good spin and tilt. Many calls and offers to come from P5 programs after that performance. Physical athlete all around. |
Wyatt Mosley LHP / 1B / Dansville, MI / 2025Rankings StateRank: 26 / POS: 4
Report: Committed to West Virginia post event. A 3-pitch lefty that has command and easy confidence on bump. 85-87 who really does a good job competing in the zone. |
Kellen Payne RHP / OF / Byron Center, MI / 2025Rankings StateRank: 12 / POS: 7
Report: Payne showed a good slider with north-south action punching out a handful of Missouri hitters. |
Brody Pikur RHP / OF / West Bloomfield, MI / 2025Rankings StateRank: 31 / POS: 12
Report: Short arm action from Pikur running it up into mid-upper 80s. Induced a lot of contact early in count having infielder pick it behind him. |
Paul Toovalian RHP / 1B / Orchard Lake St. Mary's, MI / 2025Rankings StateRank: 6 / POS: 5
Report: Punched out a pair of hitters in his Future Games debut spinning the breaking ball between 2100-2200. Smooth mechanics down the plane. Ran it up to 89 on multiple occasions. A good follow for the 2025 class in Michigan. |
The Two-Way Prospects
Slade Moore LHP / OF / West Bloomfield, MI / 2025Rankings StateRank: 52 / POS: 6
Report: A top arm for Team Michigan topping 89 mph fastball in Game 2. Solid lefty, ball comes out easy and more to gain as he adds strength from head to toe. Features a sweeping slider that was able to get swings and misses in game. A top arm to keep close tabs on this off season. One to certainly look at. |
Cole Van Ameyde SS / RHP / Brother Rice, MI / 2025Rankings StateRank: 13 / POS: 3
Report: Interesting two-way prospect that had two singles over the week and played a solid defense in the field bouncing from 2nd, 3rd and SS positions. 3/4 arm slot that kept the ball low in his outing getting early contact in the count. |
Kole Waterman 1B / 1B / Detroit Edison, MI / 2025Rankings StateRank: 22 / POS: 2
Report: Toolsy athlete standing at 6'3 and a pure swing to go with it. Shows raw power potential to the pull side. Was able to work his way on base twice drawing two walks then stealing a pair of bags shortly after. Keep a close eye on Waterman and his recruitment as we head into the offseason. |
Michael Zielinski OF / LHP / Hartland, MI / 2025Rankings StateRank: 29 / POS: 4
Report: Good showing from Zielinski this week with a backside single on a line. LHP was up to 87 from the mound against Missouri on Friday morning with feel for the breaking ball that is continuing to develop. Good defender in the outfield w/ arm strength at 87 and a 6.82 workout 60 on Wednesday. Strong athlete. |
The Catchers
Andrew Dilodovico C / 3B / Grosse Pointe South, MI / 2025Rankings StateRank: 61 / POS: 6
Report: Worked his way on base in the ATL with a walk and base hit to left field on Saturday. Advanced receiver and blocking skills for Team Michigan. Solid athlete. |
Anthony Elezaj C / 2B / Orchard Lake St. Marys, MI / 2025Rankings StateRank: 42 / POS: 2
Report: Anthony came up with a big knock in our opening game against Wisconsin. A player who's best baseball is still ahead of him with receiving skills that are advanced for his class. We are excited to see him continue to develop at OLSM under Coach Petry as they prepare for the 2024 campaign. |
Trey Williams C / SS / Grand Blanc, MI / 2025Rankings StateRank: 56 / POS: 4
Report: Shows good plate discipline drawing three walks during the week and adding a single. Uses pull side to his strength with flat both to the ball. Sturdy back stop that will continue to develop overall skills. A top pop time from the Future Games at 1.86-1.96. |
The Infielders
Isaiah Domey 1B / OF / Anchor Bay, MI / 2025Rankings StateRank: 15 / POS: 1
Report: A top bat at the Future Games from a raw an pure power standpoint. Hit a no doubter our last day of the Future Games on a low pitch to left field. 6.6 runner that moves extremely well for his size. Has all capabilities to hit in the middle of the order down the road in college. |
Sean Fox 3B / SS / Rochester, MI / 2025Rankings StateRank: 23 / POS: 2
Report: Intriguing athlete with bat speed and good glove at SS. Ran a 7.1 in the workout. Look to see Sean improve in all area for next spring w/ consistent at bats. |
Brett Leonard SS / 2B / Sterling Heights Stevenson, MI / 2025Rankings StateRank: 19 / POS: 4
Report: Had a good weekend at plate barreling multiple balls right at people. Sure glove in the middle with quick release and feet. Undersized but plays with chip on shoulder. |
Jake Leonard SS / 2B / Sterling Heights Stevenson, MI / 2025Rankings StateRank: 10 / POS: 1
Report: Tough nosed player who had solid weekend getting on base and spark plugged the team in final game hooking a triple into the corner. Simple load and stride w/ good bat to ball skills. Good angles on ball that moves well in the middle. 6.8 runner and was able to steal a bad or two during the week. |
Scott Leonard 3B / 2B / Sterling Heights Stevenson, MI / 2025Rankings StateRank: 16 / POS: 1
Report: Big physical 3B who made routine plays on the hot corner. Moves well for his size at 7.2 in the 60. |
Justin St. Antoine SS / 2B / Forest Hills Northern, MI / 2025Rankings StateRank: 25 / POS: 5
Report: Mobile athlete with smooth actions in the middle of the field. 86 from the SS position & a 7.01 runner. Wide balanced stance with clean swing path. |
Brendan Thompson SS / 2B / Forest Hills Eastern, MI / 2025Rankings StateRank: 11 / POS: 2
Report: Elite defender, definite left side infielder at the next level. Strong arm and quick release from SS. Good range in the field & ability to make the difficult plays. |
The Outfielders
Jaden Pydyn OF / RHP / Detroit Catholic Central, MI / 2025Rankings StateRank: 27 / POS: 3
Report: Mid 90s EV and solid athlete all around. Ability to go track down the ball in the outfield. Able to turn the head around on solid velocity roping a double in final game at the Future Games. |
Cash Van Ameyde OF / LHP / Brother Rice, MI / 2025Rankings StateRank: 7 / POS: 1
Report: Athletic centerfielder who was on display early at the Future Games making a great throw from CF to add an OF assist for Team Michigan. 6.8 runner who was able to put pressure on pitcher stealing a bag during the week. Uses a middle / opposite field approach at the plate but has ability to go pull side. |
