As our staff continues highlighting players across the Old Line State and Delaware this summer, we turn our attention to the remaining top uncommitted players across the two states. This edition highlights 2025 right-handed pitcher Jacob Smith from Cape Henlopen High School. 

One of the more helium risers throughout the year, the physical 6-foot-2, 225-pound righty made a name for himself this spring as being one of the more dominant arms in the state of Delaware. It's a true three-pitch mix with the fastball sitting in the upper 80s and grabbing a few 90s this spring, showcasing the ability to create whiffs and compete in the zone. The changeup is the "out" pitch with above-average arm side run and fall-off-the-table action that plays extremely effectively off the heater. The curveball is thrown sparingly but shows the ability to get better and better as feel and spin increases.
