One of the more high-octane arms that our staff got our first looks at this spring, right-handed pitcher Dylan Adams (Chesapeake) impressed immensely and was one of the more consistent arms, regardless of class, across the state. Sliding into the rankings for the first time at No. 18, Adams features one of the more intriguing pitch arsenals in the class, working the fastball into the upper 80s with a consistent ability to showcase feel for both sides of the plate. Although the fastball showcases a ton of intrigue, the breaking ball may be the best pitch, working into the 2600-rpm's with some sharp bite down and away to RHH's. It's a high-intent, shorter-armed delivery with a high ceiling that looks to project well as the body continues to mature. Although the arm most likely possesses the highest ceiling right now, don't sleep on the hit tool, as Adams hit over .400 this spring for the Cougars. 

Making a huge impact for the 2A State Champion Middletown Knights as a Sophomore, outfielder Cory Godlove rises inside the top 35 at No. 33 in this newest update. The frame and build will not "wow" scouts for the time being, however in-game, the hit tool, baseball IQ and speed are certainly note-worthy attributes to jot down. The barrel accuracy and consistency certainly stood out in our many looks this spring, showcasing the ability to backspin line drives to all fields. As the frame continues to fill out and strength is added, look for this to be a left-handed hitter that makes some noise in this loaded Class of 2026. 

A left-handed arm that we have been on since our Mid-Atlantic State Games last fall, Spencer Gilcrest (Walter Johnson) had a stellar spring for Coach Sutherland and the arsenal continues to clean up, as does the frame, leading to a rise just outside the Top 50 at No. 54. The fastball command has gotten increasingly better, working it to both sides with more feel to the knees in the low 80s, mixing a highly projectable slider in the mid 70s that showcases the ability to induce swing and miss to RHH's. As the feel for the zone increases and the operation cleans up on the bump, look for Gilcrest to continue to climb through the ranks as the months go by.
