It is with great excitement that we release to you today, our most recent rankings class, the class of 2027. We unveil the Top 20 players from across the Old Line State and Delaware.
*The class will expand more and more as we get a chance to see more players in the class, whether it be at events, tournaments, or high school games.*
Taking the top spot in the intial 2027 rankings is outfielder and right-handed pitcher, Anderson Lambert (McDonogh). Possessing a strong 6-foot, 170 pound frame, the athleticism jumps off the charts with one of the more interesting and exciting hit tools in the state. It's a smooth operation at the dish with fluid actions in the hands, producing backspin and loft to the alleys. The awareness and feel for the barrel is already advanced with well above average strength, producing consistent in-game power from the right side. Although the hit tool excites, the arm on the bump shows plenty of ceiling as well, mixing a three pitch arsenal with intent down the mound.
Also out of McDonogh High School, we see Jack Hortiz land at number two. A standout and eye-opening performance at this year's Junior Future Games, Hortiz showcases plenty of confidence and moxie on the bump with one of the more electric fastballs in the class. Sitting in the mid 80's, the athletic 5-foot-9, 150 pound righty works the heater to both sides of the plate with advanced feel for a tight slider in the zone. Showcasing a consistent ability to spin for strikes, the breaking ball plays extremely well off the fastball with the ability to induce swing and miss both in and out of the zone. With the ceiling and projection being evident with the arm, the bat has shown flashes as well, producing line drives to both gaps with some heaviness in the barrel.

Coming in at number three, we see one of the more physically gifted athletes in the state in backstop Franklin Zerpa out of Walter Johnson High School. Standing at 6-foot, 190 pounds, Zerpa possesses present and above average power to the pull side with explosive hands and plenty of whip in the barrel. Defensively, the footwork is clean with evident arm strength and quick hands and the actions will only become more and more fluid as repetitions increase.
