Over the next few weeks, leading up to the beginning of the 2024 MD High School season, our staff will be releasing our Preseason Power 25. This list will be comprised of public schools across the state that we feel have a strong chance of being successful in 2024. Throughout the coming weeks, be on the lookout for our MD Public School Top 10, as well as a slew of additional preseason coverage.    

#10 Huntingtown Hurricanes 

Huntingtown slides into the 2A classification in 2024, and we look for the Hurricanes to make a deep run this spring with one of the more experienced and battle-tested rosters across the region. 

One of the top uncommitted senior arms in Logan Hastings is back to lead the Hurricanes on the bump and should be able to go toe-to-toe with just about any arm across the 2A classification. 

Offensively, this lineup has the makings of being explosive with the likes of two-way Dom Brooke, Trevor Robbins, Mason Wells, Cole Roschel (Jefferson College), and Jack Cassidy all providing firepower and depth throughout. 

If the pitching depth can hold up behind Hastings, look for Huntingtown to compete for a title this spring.
