Pierce Quinn RHP / JOHN CARROLL SCHOOL, MD / 2026

2024 has been the year of Pierce Quinn. The long, 6-foot-1, 205-pound righty has made a name for himself this year, beginning with an explosive bullpen at the Preseason All-State II that led to a standout spring for John Carroll. It's a light-effort, repeatable operation with a quick arm and strong feel for the fastball/curveball mix. Utilizing an over-the-top slot, the 90-91 mph heater gets on hitters quick, working to both sides of the plate with occasional cut action away to right-handed hitters. As body maturation sets in and the lower half gets even stronger, look for the velocity to jump in the coming months and make the imposing frame even more intimidating. The curveball is the difference maker, working on average in the 2900 rpm range and up to 3100. High spin, 12/6 break plays extremely well off the fastball with feel to the bottom of the zone for swing and miss. For me, the consistency to spin for strikes in any count is the most impressive, to go along with ~3000 rpms makes this one of the more intriguing hammers across the state. We have seen velo fluxation throughout this year with the fastball, but the Pierce Quinn of Future Games is what I believe we will see more consistently in the near future.
