Following the workout on Wednesday, Team Maryland moved to gameplay on Thursday as they took on Team Virginia. An old-fashioned pitcher's duel was on tap for the first game of this year's Future Games, as Team Maryland and Team Virginia ended in a 2-2 tie. 2026 arms in Ayden McCauley, Osiah Kelley, Pierce Quinn, and Arian Vargas combined to work 8 innings giving up just two runs. Kelley and Vargas combined for 4 shutout innings, striking out 9. 2026 Michael Thompson tallied two hits and a stolen base to lead the offense.
