With the summer season coming to an end and the 2015-2016 high school sports season as well as fall ball getting underway, we would like to take a look at some of the top uncommitted prospects at each position.
Today we are looking at the top uncommitted outfielders in the state. We will look to create a few top uncommitted lists each week, as you can see by our 2016 Rankings there are numerous talented prospect still available.

TOP 2016 UNCOMMITTED OUTFIELDERS
Nathaniel Lowe Cambridge South Dorchester

Scouting Report
Athletic frame to build upon at 5-foot-10 150-pounds. Hits from an athletic and balanced set up. Rhythm in load and a short stride. Short path that gets slightly uphill at times with some bat speed. Good balance in swing and could increase lower half involvement. Athletic outfielder that moves well with lateral quickness. Long arm action from an almost over the top arm angle. Outfield velocity has been recorded up to 82 mph. Average hands, active feet. Was a 4.30 home to first time and had an exit velocity of 88 mph. Two-sport athlete is also QB at CSD.
Chase Ragsdale Bishop McNamara

Scouting Report
Compact and athletic frame at 5-foot-10 165-pounds. From the outfield has a loose arm action throwing from a high ¾ arm angle. Throws have life on them at 87 mph. Confident first step and covers ground well in the outfield. Fluid footwork with soft hands and a quick exchange. Plays through the ball well. Hits from a slightly open setup with some rhythm and a short stride. Short swing and pulls hands inside the ball. Gets stiff at times. Has some pull side power potential. Has some lower half in swing and gets on back side in follow through. Ran a 4.21 home to first and had an exit velocity of 84 mph. Been recorded at 6.7 and better in the 60-yard dash.

Scouting Report
Put together with room for more at 6-foot-2 200-pounds. Hits from a balanced set up with a high leg kick. Short bat path with fast bat speed. Has good balance in swing. Line drive type hitter with power and 90 mph exit velocity. Really like potential at the plate and should be a middle of the lineup type hitter. From the outfield has a short arm action from a high ¾ arm angle. Throws from the outfield were at 71 mph. throws were accurate and consistent. Projects better as first basemen in college. As he increases his footwork and agility, very interesting prospect with some power potential.
Dillon Waters OF/RHP Southern

Scouting Report
Athletic frame at 5-foot-11 185-pounds. Hits from a balanced set up. Smooth back load with a short stride. Level swing path and some bat speed. Nice rhythm in swing and good balance. Gap-to-gap style with power potential. Has a long arm action throwing from a high ¾ arm angle. Throws had carry on them at 83 mph. Active outfielder with a quick and confident first step. Attacks baseball and gets rid of it. Could get over front leg more consistently to get more velocity. Ran a 4.56 home to first and had an exit velocity of 86 mph. Interesting two-way prospect that could be a back end type arm as well.
Adante Rhodes Riverdale Baptist

Scouting Report
Athletic frame at Long arm action from the outfield throwing from an almost over-the-top arm angle. Throws were accurate and had some carry on them at 78 mph. Displayed fluid footwork with a clean exchange. Hits from a balanced set up with a level path and some bat speed. High hand set, short and simple load and stride. Gets a little long at times on swing. Ran a 4.68 home to first time and had an exit velocity of 87 mph. Ran a 6.90 60-yard dash. Table setter type player that could help a line up with occasional pop.
Other Names of Note
Calvert Hall has two nice prospects in the ’16 class in Ian Elliott (No. 42) and Dariel Torres (No.62). Other players include: Ricardo Duncan Jr. (St. Paul’s No. 71), Bowen Plagge (Leonardtown, No. 72), Zack DeCarlo (Gaithersburg, No. 78), Johnathan Brice (Archbishop Curley, No. 80) and Thomas Parris (Liberty, No. 83)
