80 players from across the Old Line State, Delaware, Pennsylvania, and Virginia participated in this year's Top Prospect Games West at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium, home of the Baltimore Orioles Class A affiliate Delmarva Shorebirds. Players were put through a pro-style workout and played a simulated game in front of our PBR Maryland scouting staff with Trackman and Blast also on hand to record data. Today we spotlight ten of the top two-way players from the event.

TOP PROSPECT GAMES WEST TOP TWO-WAY PERFORMANCES

Noah Barrall 3B/RHP Salisbury Christian 2021

Strong, 6'0'', 185 pound frame. Balanced stance at the plate with a smooth back load and leg kick. Slightly uphill path with strong hands and really did a nice job working gap-to-gap with pop during BP. Recorded an 88 mph exit velocity per TrackMan. Pitches from the stretch on the mound with a high leg kick into a tall, compact balance position. Throws with a full arm circle from a high three-quarter slot and creates quick arm speed through release. Fastball sat 82-84 mph and touched 86 mph. Breaking ball was 74-76 mph with sharp 11/5 shape and change-up was also 74-76 mph with slight fade.

Branden Brown SS/RHP Atholton 2021

Long, athletic, projectable 6'3'', 160 pound frame with plenty of room yet to fill out. Hits from a balanced, open stance at the plate and gets great extension through contact. Worked mostly middle to the pull side with loose hands, an uphill swing path, and some power present. Recorded a 91 mph exit velocity per TrackMan. Plays with active feet in the field and showed easy range with a strong arm across the diamond at 80 mph. Pitched from the stretch with a controlled leg kick and lands in-line to the plate. Throws with a full-arm circle from a high three-quarter slot. Athletic arm and extension present. Fastball had some arm-side run sitting 82-84 mph and touching 85 mph. Breaking ball ranged 69-73 mph and change-up was 74-76 mph.
