TEAM STRENGTHS:
St. James is set up to have another strong season at the plate as three of their top hitters return to the lineup.  Junior Ryan Brown comes into the season coming off a record setting 2014 in which he set a new single season hits record in Washington County.  Brown was also a preseason MSABC all-state nominee.  Junior Mitch Wilson (another Preseason MSABC all-state nominee) and Sophomore Myles Nicholson return after having very good seasons for the Saints in 2014.
St. James should also burn up the bases this season after doubling the stolen base total from 2013 to 2014.  After having over 100 SB’s as a team in 2014, St. James looks to at least match that total in 2015.
Wilson also heads up a pitching staff with good experience as the Saints return three starters that won four games each last season.  Wilson tossed a complete game in the IPSL championship giving up only one hit.

QUESTION MARK:
Depth will be the biggest area of concern for St. James going into 2015. Losing four starters to graduation will do that.  Luckily the Saints do have some core members of the team still on the roster, but if one of those players are out for any amount of time it could hinder the team.

WILDCARD:
Colton Repp looks to have a good season stepping into the starting catcher role for St. James.  His work ethic and relentless style of play has really left its mark to the St. James coaching staff.   Isaac Schlotterbeck is a new addition to the Saints roster and looks to add a new dimension to the team.  Look for him to create some needed depth to the Saints pitching staff.

OVERALL:
Although depth is a concern, St. James looks to have a very strong foundation in place for the 2015 season. With key returners in place, St. James should have another strong season.
