TOP PLAYERS:
Skyler Morris
Dom Maggio
Mark Lopez

TEAM STRENGTHS
Boys' Latin are very deep this season with competition and depth at almost every position. Skyler Morris, a preseason all-state player and Towson commit, leads the pitching staff, and will also play shortstop. Maggio and Lopez are solid infielders giving the team valuable strength in the middle of the field. OFJosh Smith and 3B/DH Bo Harchick should provide some pop in the middle of their batting order. They have a very nice mix and youth and experience and speed and power. It bodes well for the upcoming season

QUESTION MARK
Although Boys' Latin have a lot of pitching, they are going to need some pitchers not named Morris to step up and take some other roles with in the pitching staff. The faster that some arms will come in and take those roles, the better for the Lakers.

WILDCARD
Drew Gray will be stepping in as the only experienced catcher on the Boy’s Latin roster. Coach Greenwell is very happy with the work ethic and leadership ability of the senior, hoping that will transfer into Gray doing a great job with the pitching staff. Gray could be a key piece to the Laker season.

OVERALL
It should be an interesting season to follow the Lakers. They have great depth and a combination of experience and youth that makes any coach excited. A unique dynamic at Boy’s Latin is the amount of two sport athletes in their program and only now the team is beginning to really play together and get to know one another. Add that to the fact that the school has only recently added a JV program to add more stability and cohesiveness to the program. All are good things and could bode well for the future of the program. It may be a bumpy start for the Lakers in 2015 as some roles are determined, especially within the pitching staff. Look for a strong second half for Coach Greenwell’s program.
