On Sunday, February 22, Prep Baseball Report Virginia/DC hosted its second event of 2015, the Preseason All-State, for members of the 2016 graduating class. Over 80 players showcased their skills for PBR staff at Virginia Sports Complex in Ruther Glen, Virginia. All of these players will be eligible to receive an invite to the Super 60, which is the premier professional scouting event for high school baseball players. The Super 60 is held annually in Chicago, Ill. on Super Bowl Sunday prior to their senior season. Here are the best from the event...Here is our analysis of the catchers from the event. +Andrew Blevins, C, Potomac, 2016
Hit from an athletic stance that was tall and balanced. Load was methodical at times, which made rhythm stiff. Short stride that stayed on line and balanced. Maintained balance throughout swing. Bat was quick through the zone. Exit velocity was 78 mph. Had a good approach during the round. Swing path was short and level. Line drive stroke. Behind the plate, threw from a high ¾ arm slot. Solid setup with good hands. Receiving was rigid at times. Throws were accurate with carry. Stiff arm action. Pop times were 1.95 - 2.19. Feet were quick with consistently clean exchanges.

Hit from an open stance that stood tall and balanced. Smooth load back with fluid rhythm. Leg kick stride that maintained line and balance. Lower half exploded to the ball. Short swing path that had good extension. Line drive stroke with power that should find the gaps consistently. Behind the plate, threw from a loose, high ¾ arm slot. Throws showed accuracy and carry. Quiet setup with soft hands. Good receiving skills. Clean footwork that gained ground towards second. Pop times were 1.94 - 2.08.

Hit from an open stance that was crouched and balanced. Loaded back with a short stride that dove in slightly. Lower half turn to the baseball. Exit velocity of 77 mph. Showed a good approach to the round, hitting the ball to all parts of the field. Swing path was short and level in the zone. Line drive stroke to all parts of the field.
+Noah Lacy, C/3B, Tuscarora, 2016
From the right side hit from an open stance that was tall and athletic. Smooth load back with slight arm bar. Short stride that stayed on line and balanced. Lower half exploded to the ball. Exit Velocity of 87 mph. Displayed a good approach to the round. Swing path was short and worked inside out. Line drive stroke. From the left side hit from an open stance that was tall and athletic. Smooth load back with fluid rhythm. Short stride that slightly dove in. Good approach to the round. Swing path was short and quick with good extension. Behind the plate, threw from a high ¾ arm slot. Arm was quick and loose. Throws had accuracy and some carry. Solid setup that was quiet and athletic. Pop times were 1.94 - 2.08. Footwork was quick and fluid. Gained ground towards second. Had soft hands and good receiving skills.
+Dakota Lann, C/MIF, Courtland, 2016
Hit from a tall stance. Smooth load back with a long stride. Maintained his line and balance throughout swing. Bat dragged through the zone at times. Exit Velocity of 67 mph. Short swing path that should be able to hit to all three parts of the field. Threw from a high ¾ arm slot. Throws showed some accuracy. Arm was quick, but lacked fluidity. Pop times were 2.14 - 2.27. Gained ground toward second.

Hit from an open stance that stood tall and had fluid rhythm. Smooth load back with slight arm bar. Short toe stride that maintained line and balance. Lower half exploded to the ball. Good balance throughout swing. Displayed fast hands with an Exit Velocity of 93 mph. Great approach to the round. Swing path was short and level with good extension through the ball. Line drive stroke with gap power. Behind the plate, threw from a high ¾ arm slot. Solid, balanced setup. Pop times were 2.01 - 2.13. Short and quick release. Clean footwork that was average with quickness. Exchanges were consistently clean. Gained ground towards second. Soft hands that received well.
+Charles Tsintolas, C, Heights (MD), 2016
Hit from a couched and balanced stance. Arm bared during load. Short toe to heel stride. Lower half exploded to the ball. Maintained good balance throughout swing. Displayed fast hands with an Exit Velocity of 84 mph. Swing path was short with good extension that worked uphill. Line drive stroke that should find the gaps. Showed signs of potential pull power. Behind the plate, threw from a high ¾ arm slot. Quick release. Pop times were 1.89 - 2.02. Throws had carry and some accuracy. Footwork was quick and gained ground to second. Great setup that was athletic. Showed soft hands with good receiving skills.
+Casey Turner, C/1B, Atlantic Shores Christian, 2016
Hit from a crouched stance that was balanced. Not much of a load. Short stride that maintained line and balance. Lower half had a decent turn to the baseball. Displayed fast hands. Exit Velocity of 86 mph. Good sound approach to the round. Swing path was short with good extension. Line drive stroke that should be able to drive to the gaps. Behind the plate, threw from a high ¾ arm slot. Throws had some accuracy. Received with rigid hands. Pop times were 2.19 - 2.21. Footwork was clean and gained ground. Release was quick with clean exchanges.
