Pitcher of the Week

Jack Alkire RHP DeMatha Catholic
Alkire was 1-0 and pitched 14 scoreless inning the previous week against T.C. Roberson (NC) and Good Counsel.  In his 14 innings this week, Alkire struck out 29 batters with three walks and three hits given up.  He is currently on a 16 inning scoreless streak.

Player of the Week

Anthony Barnes Jr 1B/LHP Bowie HS
Barnes had a hot week in Bowie’s four games played this week going 11-for-16 (.688) with six doubles one triple 15 RBI and seven runs scored.  Thursday was a special day for Barnes, as he went 6-for-6 with four doubles and one triple with seven RBI.
