After getting out to as many games and workouts as possible, we are proud to announce our first edition of the state rankings for the class of 2018. Taking the top two spots are teammates from Cape Henlopen Austin Elliott and Zack Gelof. Elliott was the only Maryland area representative to make the PBR Top 50 2018 prospects that came out a few months ago, and the talented young man fits well at the top of our board. He has thrown a no-hitter this year already and made his presence known early this year with an impressive performance at the Maryland Preseason ID.
Gelof is an athletic two-way athlete with his speed nearing the sub 7.0 range and a long, loose frame. He impressed as well and made his name known at the Maryland Preseason ID pitching at 82 mph and showing quick and balanced feet along with a crisp exchange and short swing.
The list of 2018 is short and sweet with our first release. As time goes by this list will expand and surely change as we continue to cover the state and area giving you the best high school baseball coverage. As with all of our class rankings, the best way to make your case and help us add to each class rankings is by attending a PBR Maryland Event. In the meantime enjoy our Top Ten.
