Summer season means that recruiting for most college programs is about to shift into second gear. Coaches travel the land high-and-low in their attempt to find future players to better their roster. As a player, this can be a nerve racking time. There is no need to panic, as coaches will be out to see you play. Control the controllable things and work on your game.
PBR Maryland will be doing features throughout the summer highlighting players that have the ability to play at the college level. Today we focus on Adante Rhodes, a 2016 outfielder from Upper Marlboro, MD.
Scouting Report
He has a long armed, athletic frame to build more into at 5-foot-9 170-pounds. Throws from a high ¾ arm slot at 77 mph. He does a good job of working thru the baseball with a clean exchange and fluid footwork. On the offensive end, Rhodes displays quick hands and very good bat speed. Will get slightly long at times. He has good balance with a level swing and is a gap-to-gap type hitter. His exit velocity was 83 mph and he ran a 6.90 60 yard dash. Projects very well and should continue to develop nicely.
