Mike Willis (Georgetown) and Will Glock battled pitch for pitch in a superb semi final tournament game. Both starters held the opponents lineup scoreless through the first five innings.

All of the games scoring happened in the sixth when Joseph Melancon led off with a solo homer to left, with one out Tyler Martinez hit a double into the right field gap and stretched it into a triple when the ball was misplayed. Gabe Gonzales stepped to the plate and hit a hard line drive to right that was hit so hard it did not allow Martinez to tag up and score from third. Martinez would end up scoring the eventual winning run on a pass ball. In the bottom of the inning for Loyola Owen Reynolds singled and advanced to second on a wild pitch. AJ Holcomb would pick up the RBI with a single to cut the lead in half.

In the seventh both teams would mount rallies but come up short. Gilman would load the bases with zero outs. Max Costes doubled and advanced to third on a sacrifice bunt by Casey Bishop. Glock tried to get the lead runner at third but was not successful and Gilman had first and third. The three hitter in the Gilman lineup Alex Slodzinski was intentionally walked to load the bases. Glock turned up the heat and retired the next three hitters to end the threat. Willis took a one run lead into the seventh and worked a ground out to second for the first out, Emmett Reynolds worked a walk and advanced to second on a wild pitch. Costes come in to close out the game for Gilman. Glock would hit for himself with one out and advance the runner with a ground out. Reynolds was now ninety feet away from tying the game, however Costes would induce another ground ball to end the game and earn the save.

Willis finished with a pitching line of: 6.1 innings pitched, 4 hits, 1 earned run and 3 strikeouts. Glock went complete game 5 hits, 1 earned run, 5 strikeouts.
