Fall Scout Blog: 9/29/18 FTB Mid-Atlantic Part 2
October 15, 2018
The Maryland High School Scouting Blog provides insider information and scouting notes from the PBR Staff. This running blog will feature information on underclass prospects, unsigned seniors, and draft prospects. We will provide a wide range of information, including player evaluations, velocity, pop times, home to first times, and more.
State Scout blogs are one of the most highly viewed pages on the PBR website. It is a tribute to our never ending quest of discovering talent across our area of coverage and our boots-to-the-ground approach to scouting. So what is better than being in a scout blog? Having a PBR profile to connect you with. Find our next event near you.
9/29/18: FTB Mid-Atlantic Part 2
Nate Beal RHP Loyola-Blakefield 2020 (UPENN)
Solid, athletic body type and pitches from the stretch. Up tempo delivery with a compact balance point and strong lower half drive. Long arm action throwing from a high three-quarter slot with regular effort. Gets over front side well and pitches downhill. Lands square to the plate with and athletic finish. Fastball was 86-88 mph. Showed good command of the fastball and feel for the breaking ball. Breaking ball is tight and has sharp 11/5 break.
