Season Outlook
The wise pumas will look to make another deep run in the state tournament in the 2016 season. Last year the pumas fell just short of competing for a state title, as they were knocked out in the state semifinals. They finished the year at 15-5.

Coach Gilliam will be looking for his team to be scoring lots of runs this year to help lead them to victories. Highlighted by senior Nico Brooks a Delaware State University commit who batted .404 last season. Junior catcher Jason Aldred will also be looking to build off of his break out sophomore year batting an astonishing .441.  More power sits in the puma’s line up with seniors Abraham Herrera (.393 BA) and Josh Anderson (.346 BA.)

With those returners and fast junior transfer Travis Summer leading off the order, look for multiple runs to be posted by this experienced Puma line up. Summer will also be holding down the infield as the starting short stop. Tyrin Brooks (.341 BA) will be another puma who will be looking to drive in runs in this power heavy line up. Coach Gilliam is looking for this team to improve on their mental side of the game while limiting their mistakes. If this team doesn’t beat itself, look for them to make another deep run into the State playoffs.
