New England Insider: Uncommitted Senior Spotlight - Jared Freilich, RHP
Name: Jared Freilich
Position: RHP
Height/Weight: 6-foot-6, 215 pounds
School: Williston Northampton
Ranked: 113th in New England's 2016 class
Scouting Report: Big and athletic right-hander who is coming off having a fracture in his back a year ago. The arm works and he touched 86 in warmups. In the game, he pitched at 84 out of a high-¾ arm slot. The breaking ball is sharp and tight at 71, throwing it for a strike needs to improve but you can teach that spin, it's legit. The fastball does have cut to it, taking away from his velocity. The delivery needs cleaning as he pulls off and opens the bottom half to soon. Certainly things that can be cleaned up.
