NE Insider: The Recruiting Angle with Josh Delsignore
This time of year seems to be a very nerve racking time for unsigned seniors and underclassmen looking to get on coaches radar. No need to panic, it's early in the spring and once it warms up, the coaches will be out to see your game. Relaxing and enjoying the spring season is important, so keep in mind, control the controllable things and work on your game.
The following weekly article will be a feature on a player who has yet to break onto the scene, but certainly has the ability to play and/or pitch at the college level.
Today we are going to take a look at Josh DelSignore, a catcher/first baseman from St. Peter Marian, Massachusetts.
Background
Josh is a very interesting prospect who came to two of our events this past winter. The first event he showed just alright while at the second event he showed much better. He is a physical player who, in time, could be a very good option behind the plate. Each and every college coach is looking for a catcher who can not only catch and throw but hit as well. Too many guys do one or the other, making the position have a ton of value if the prospect can do both. This guy may be able to do both in due time.
Scouting Report
Josh posted a 1.89 pop time in a workout, much different than in game, but nonetheless, a very good transfer time.
