Prep Baseball Louisiana: Mizuno Player of the Week (Week 5)
March 26, 2024
The Prep Baseball Louisiana High School Player of the Week highlights the best performance for a Louisiana high school player from the previous week. Each week, high school coaches are emailed and asked to send in their nominees for Pitcher and Player of the Week. If you wish to nominate someone for Player or Pitcher of the Week, please email Alex Armand at [email protected]
While there can only be one pitcher and player of the week, our Diamond Notes, which are released every Wedensday, are intended to shine a spotlight on other noteworthy performances from the previous week.
Week 5 Player of the Week
2024 OF Collin Harris (Barbe HS)
Week 5 Stats
-Average: .571
-Homeruns: 2

Barbe owns a 19-5 record and currently sits at #4 in our Power 25 Rankings. The Bucs went a perfect 4-0 last week with a district sweep of Southside and Comeaux. The uncommitted senior dealt with an injury early in the season, and has played sparingly up to this point, but he may have earned himself some additional looks after his performance last week. Harris went 4-7 (.571) with 2 HR, 2 3B, 9 RBI, and 4 R in the Bucs four games last week. One of his two homeruns on Saturday against Comeaux was a grand slam.
