The Prep Baseball Louisiana High School Pitcher of the Week highlights the best individual pitching performance for a Louisiana high school player from the previous week.  Each week, high school coaches are emailed and asked to send in their nominees for Pitcher and Player of the Week.  If you wish to nominate someone for Player or Pitcher of the Week, please email Alex Armand at [email protected]

While there can only be one pitcher and player of the week, our Diamond Notes, which are released every Wedensday, are intended to shine a spotlight on other noteworthy performances from the previous week.

 

 

Week 7 Pitcher of the Week

 

2024 RHP Jace Duhon (South Beauregard HS)

 

Week 7 Stats

-Record: 2-0

-Earned Runs: 0

-Hits: 6

-Strikeouts: 14

South Beauregard currently owns a 22-3 overall record and a big reason for the team's success has been their deep pitching staff that is led by Duhon.  The University of Louisiana-Monroe recruit had arguably his best week overall last week in two separate starts.  Last Monday, in our Week 7 Game of the Week against Lutcher, he tossed a complete-game shutout and gave up only 3 H with 1 BB and 8 K's.  Duhon then turned around on Saturday and tossed another complete-game shutout against Pine Prairie, giving up 3 H with 2 BB and 6 K's, to finish the week 2-0 with 14 K's.
