The New Orleans Preseason ID was held on Saturday January 6, 2024, at Mike Miley Stadium.  This was our first event of 2024 that consisted of uncommitted prospects from the 2024-2027 classes and will serve as an identifier for our Future Games and Jr. Future Games teams this coming summer, as well as any of our future invite-only events, such as the Top Prospect Games and the State Games.  All players in attendance went through an extended pro-style workout that included batting practice using Trackman and Blast, the 60 yard dash using Swift Performance, and much more.  Pitchers finished the day off by throwing bullpens and were able to receive their numbers and metrics off of Trackman, which included pitch velocity, spin rate, horizontal & vertical movement & much more.

+ Brennan Champagne, Covenant Christian Academy (LA), 2025

Positional Profile: 1B/LHP 
Body: 5-11, 190-pounds. Physical and durable.
Hit: LHH. Starts in a slightly open and upright stance with hands at shoulder height and uses a simple load and stride. Gets barrel behind the ball early and works on-plane to contact with a little length and stays flat through extension with a two-handed finish. Worked mostly middle to pull-side, showing some present strength to the pull-side. 60.6 mph bat speed with 14 G's of rotational acceleration.

Positional Profile: SS/RHP An uncommitted two-way prospect to follow.
Body: 5-11, 165-pounds. Athletic with broad shoulders and room to add strength.
Hit: RHH. Upright and balanced stance with hands held high and the barrel tilted behind his back shoulder, uses a knee-knee load and stride. Barrel gets behind the ball early and stays on-plane to contact and through extension with a two-handed finish, present bat speed and swings with controlled aggression, gap to gap hitter with present gap to gap power. 63.4 mph bat speed with 20 G's of rotational acceleration.

Positional Profile: C/RHP 
Body: 6-0, 205-pounds. Physical.
Hit: RHH. Starts slightly open with some weight pre-loaded into back hip and uses a simple load and stride. Rotational type of hitter, violent back hip rotation takes the bat head to contact and works uphill through extension, shoulders rotate off the ball at times, worked mostly from the pull-side gap to the pull-side with present power that way as well. 65.6 mph bat speed with 10 G's of rotational acceleration.
Power: 96 max exit velocity, averaged 80.4 mph. 294' max distance.
