Louisiana State Games: Catcher Reports
November 3, 2023
The Louisiana State Games were held on Saturday September 30, 2023 and Sunday October 1, 2023, at Louisiana State University, home of the 2023 NCAA DI National Champion LSU Tigers. This was an invite-only event that consisted of the top prospects from the 2024-2028 classes and will serve as an identifier for our Future Games and Jr. Future Games teams this coming summer, as well as any of our future invite-only events, such as the Top Prospect Games and the State Games. All players in attendance went through an extended pro-style workout that included batting practice using Trackman and Blast, the 60 yard dash using Swift Performance, and much more. Pitchers were able to throw live against hitters during gameplay on Saturday and Sunday, and were able to receive their numbers and metrics off of Trackman, which included pitch velocity, spin rate, horizontal & vertical movement & much more.
We continue our post-event coverage of the 2023 Louisiana State Games with a dive into the scouting reports from the event by taking a look at the underclass pitchers who were in attendance.
