Louisiana Commitment Insider: 2025 Adam Brodnax

Alex Armand
Louisiana Scouting Director

Lafayette, LA - Uncovering "hidden gems" is one of the best parts of this job and at last Tuesday's Top Prospect Games, we believe that we found a "diamond in the rough" with 2025 RHP Adam Brodnax.  Last Tuesday was Brodnax's first event with us and it was an impressive performance against some of the best prospects in the state.  After his stellar Top Prospect Games performance, the University of Louisiana-Monroe offered Brodnax a scholarship and it didn't take long for him to announce his commitment to the Warhawks.  We took some time to speak with Adam about his recent commitment, his experience at the Top Prospect Games, and much more.  Congratulations again to Adam Brodnax on his commitment to the University of Louisiana-Monroe!

1. Congratulations on your commitment to the University of Louisiana-Monroe!  What led to your decision to commit to the Warhawks?

"As soon as I stepped on to the campus, it felt like home, and I knew that I could see myself there for four years.  The coaching staff is awesome and I know that they want to not just build a great ball club, but also build a family."

2. Is there anyone in particular that you'd like to thank for helping you get to this point in your career?

"First, I would like to thank God.  None of this is possible without him.  He has blessed me and my family greatly.  I would also like to thank my family, friends, and coaches for getting me here, especially my basketball coach, Coach Morey.  He's the first person who taught me how to work and handle adversity when it hits."

3. You came to our Top Prospect Games event on June 11, 2024 at the University of Louisiana-Lafayette, and it was your first Prep Baseball event.  What did you think about the experience?

"The Louisiana Top Prospect Games was a great experience.  I loved every second of it, and for the guys who might be interested in it in the future, I would definitely recommend going."

4. What advice would you give to young, aspiring baseball players, as they enter high school and the recruiting process begins for them?

"You have to have fun with whatever you're doing, so have fun and live in the weight room.  Once you start your recruiting process, go to the Prep Baseball events, go to the Underclassmen Games, and as many camps as you can."

5. For Louisiana-Monroe fans, who may not be familiar with you, how would you describe yourself as a player?

"I might not be the hardest throwing pitcher, but I throw strikes.  If we get in a jam and the offense starts hitting and adding pressure, I won't lose my mind."

6. Are there any areas of your game that you've been focusing on this summer?

"Just growing in the weight room and trying to perfect the little things that I'm not able to do during the actual season, like perfecting all of my pitches, working on command, and things like that."
