On Monday, January 18, more than 60 of the top prospects from across the state of Louisiana participated in the Prep Baseball Report Winter Prospect Showcase at the Big Easy Sportsplex in Harahan, LA.

Today, Prep Baseball Report Louisiana takes a look at the Top Overall Prospects that were in attendance.
Top Prospects
1.Cole Trichel, RHP, Ouachita Christian HS(2016)
A 6-foot-3, 210-pound right-handed pitcher with a long, strong frame. Long, loose arm action into ¾ release with quick arm speed and easy effort. Smooth rhythm, level shoulders, in-line direction, lands square and finishes athletic. Fastball sat 85-87 mph with heavy sink, life and command. Breaking ball showed 11/5 shape and 10/4 shape with fastball arm speed, tight spin and power action at 68-70 and 73-75 mph, respectively. Also showed a changeup with fastball arm speed and fade action at 74-76 mph.
2.Bo Hardin, RHP/INF, Lafayette HS(2017)
A 6-foot, 150-pound infielder and right-handed pitcher with a lean, athletic frame. Outstanding defender with soft hands, fluid footwork, and quick, clean exchange. Loose arm action into ¾ release with accuracy and carry on throws that produced a positional velocity of 86 mph. Right-handed hitter that hits from an athletic setup, smooth load, leg kick, explosive lower half and solid balance. Line-drive type hitter with fluid rhythm, level path and bat speed that produced an exit velocity of 86 mph. Also posted a 4.2 home to 1st time. Right-handed pitcher with long, loose arm action into mid-3/4 release with quick arm speed and easy effort. Smooth rhythm, level shoulders, in-line direction, lands square and finishes athletic. Fastball sat 85-87 mph with command and occasional life. Breaking ball showed 11/5 shape with near fastball arm speed at 69-70 mph. In addition, showed a slider with 10/4 shape, tight spin, and depth at 75-76 mph. Also flashed changeup with fastball arm speed and fade action at 76-77 mph.
3.Caleb Ricca, INF, Dutchtown HS(2016)
A 5-foot-8, 145-pound infielder with a medium, athletic frame. Outstanding defender with soft hands, fluid footwork, quick and clean exchange, and fields in an athletic position. Short, loose arm action into high-3/4 release with accuracy and carry on throws that produced a positional velocity of 82 mph. Switch hitter that hits from balanced setup, smooth load, short stride and solid lower half. Line-drive hitter with fluid rhythm, short and level path, and bat speed that produced an exit velocity of 86 mph. Also posted a 4.2 home to 1st time.
4.Gavin Dugas, INF/RHP, Houma Christian HS(2018)
A 5-foot-9, 180-pound infielder and right-handed pitcher with a strong, athletic frame. Quality defender with average hands, fluid footwork, clean exchange and plays through balls athletically. Short, loose arm action into high-3/4 release with accuracy and carry on throws that produced a positional velocity of 81 mph. Right-handed hitter that hits from balanced setup, smooth load, short stride, explosive lower half and quality balance. Line-drive, gap to gap type hitter with fluid rhythm, level path and explosive bat speed that produced an exit velocity of 89 mph. Also posted a 4.2 home to 1st. Right-handed pitcher with short, loose arm action into high-3/4 release with quick arm speed and regular effort. Some rhythm, level shoulders, in-line direction, and lands square. Fastball sat 79-83 mph with control and hard run. Breaking ball showed 12/6 shape with near fastball arm speed and gradual break at 70-71 mph. Also showed a changeup with fastball arm speed and fade action at 74-77 mph.
5.Jordin Labruzza, INF, John Curtis HS(2018)
A 5-foot-9, 175-pound infielder with a strong, athletic frame. Outstanding defender with soft hands, quick feet, clean exchange and plays through balls athletically. Short arm action into high-3/4 release with accuracy on throws and a positional velocity of 78 mph. Right-handed hitter that hits from athletic setup, smooth load, leg kick, explosive lower half and balance. Line-drive, gap to gap type hitter with fluid rhythm, short, level path and bat speed that produced an exit velocity of 88 mph.
6.Camden Dusang, RHP, Fontainebleau HS(2016)
A 6-foot, 155-pound right-handed pitcher with a lean, athletic frame. Long, loose arm action into ¾ release with quick arm speed and regular effort. Smooth rhythm, level shoulders, in-line direction, lands square, and finishes upright. Fastball sat 82-85 mph with hard sink and command. Breaking ball showed 10/4 shape with near fastball arm speed and gradual break at 68-69 mph. Also showed changeup with near fastball arm speed and sink action at 76-77 mph.
7.Tyler Thibodeaux, C, Breaux Bridge HS(2017)
A 6-foot, 165-pound catcher and right-handed pitcher with a strong, athletic frame. Outstanding defender with average hands, quick footwork, quick exchange and solid blocking ability. Short arm action into high-3/4 release with accuracy on throws and a positional velocity of 75 mph and a pop time of 1.9. Right-handed hitter that hits from balanced setup, smooth load, leg kick, and quality balance. Line-drive, gap to gap type hitter with fluid rhythm, slightly uphill path and explosive bat speed that produced an exit velocity of 87 mph. Also posted a 4.7 home to 1st time. Right-handed pitcher with short arm action into over the top release with average arm speed and regular effort. Smooth rhythm, uphill shoulders, in-line direction and lands square. Fastball sat 80-82 mph with command and late life. Breaking ball showed 12/6 shape with near fastball arm speed and late break 63-64 mph. Also showed a changeup with near fastball arm speed and fade action at 67-68 mph.
8.Nolan Tiersch, INF, St. Michael’s HS(2017)
A 6-foot-1, 190-pound infielder with an athletic, strong frame. Quality defender with soft hands, quick feet, clean exchange and plays through balls athletically. Long arm action into high-3/4 release with accuracy on throws that produced a positional velocity of 79 mph. Right-handed hitter that hits from athletic setup, smooth load, short stride, and quality lower half. Gap to gap, power type hitter with fluid rhythm, level path that creates extension and explosive bat speed that produced an exit velocity of 90 mph. Also posted a 4.3 home to 1st.
9.Fritz Walker, C, Mandeville HS(2017)
A 6-foot, 201-pound catcher with a strong, athletic frame. Quality defender with average hands, fluid footwork, and a clean exchange. Long arm action into high-3/4 release with accuracy and carry on throws that produced a positional velocity of 72 mph and a pop time of 2.0. Right-handed hitter that hits from balanced setup, smooth load, leg kick, and explosive lower half. Gap to gap, power type hitter with fluid rhythm, level path and explosive bat speed that produced an exit velocity of 92 mph. Also posted a 4.12 home to 1st.
10.Ethan Campo, RHP, Northshore HS(2017)
A 5-foot-11, 175-pound infielder and right-handed pitcher with a medium, athletic frame. Quality defender with average hands, fluid footwork, and clean exchange. Long, loose arm action into high-3/4 release with accuracy on throws and a positional velocity of 79 mph. Right-handed hitter that hits from tall, athletic setup, smooth load, short stride and solid lower half. Line-drive, pull type hitter with fluid rhythm, level path and bat speed that produced an exit velocity of 85 mph. Also posted a 4.5 seconds. A 5-foot-11, 170-pound outfielder and left-handed pitcher with a strong, athletic frame. Quality defender with soft hands, fluid footwork, clean exchange and plays through balls well. Long arm action into high-3/4 release with accuracy on throws and a positional velocity of 84 mph. Left-handed hitter that hits from athletic setup, smooth load, leg kick, and solid lower half. Line-drive, gap to gap type hitter with fluid rhythm, short path and bat speed that produced an exit velocity of 87 mph. Also posted a 4.25 home to 1st time. Left-handed pitcher with short, loose arm action into high-3/4 release with quick arm speed and regular effort. Smooth rhythm, level shoulders, in-line direction, and lands square. Fastball sat 82-85 mph with command and late run. Breaking ball showed 2/8 shape with fastball arm speed and late break at 68-72 mph. Also showed a changeup with near fastball arm speed and sink action at 71-72 mph.
