On Monday, January 18, more than 60 of the top prospects from across the state of Louisiana participated in the Prep Baseball Report Winter Prospect Showcase at the Big Easy Sportsplex in Harahan, LA.

Today, Prep Baseball Report Louisiana takes a look at the pitchers that were in attendance.

Top Pitchers

1.Cole Trichel, RHP, Ouachita Christian HS(2016)
A 6-foot-3, 210-pound right-handed pitcher with a long, strong frame. Long, loose arm action into ¾ release with quick arm speed and easy effort. Smooth rhythm, level shoulders, in-line direction, lands square and finishes athletic. Fastball sat 85-87 mph with heavy sink, life and command. Breaking ball showed 11/5 shape and 10/4 shape with fastball arm speed, tight spin and power action at 68-70 and 73-75 mph, respectively. Also showed a changeup with fastball arm speed and fade action at 74-76 mph.

2.Bo Hardin, RHP, Lafayette HS(2017)
A 6-foot, 150-pound infielder and right-handed pitcher with a lean, athletic frame. Long, loose arm action into mid-3/4 release with quick arm speed and easy effort. Smooth rhythm, level shoulders, in-line direction, lands square and finishes athletic. Fastball sat 85-87 mph with command and occasional life. Breaking ball showed 11/5 shape with near fastball arm speed at 69-70 mph. In addition, showed a slider with 10/4 shape, tight spin, and depth at 75-76 mph. Also flashed changeup with fastball arm speed and fade action at 76-77 mph.

3.Camden Dusang, RHP, Fontainbleau HS(2016)
A 6-foot, 155-pound right-handed pitcher with a lean, athletic frame. Long, loose arm action into ¾ release with quick arm speed and regular effort. Smooth rhythm, level shoulders, in-line direction, lands square, and finishes upright. Fastball sat 82-85 mph with hard sink and command. Breaking ball showed 10/4 shape with near fastball arm speed and gradual break at 68-69 mph. Also showed changeup with near fastball arm speed and sink action at 76-77 mph.

4.Dean Alexander, LHP, Thomas Jefferson HS(2016)
A 5-foot-11, 170-pound left-handed pitcher with a strong, athletic frame. Short, loose arm action into high-3/4 release with quick arm speed and regular effort. Smooth rhythm, level shoulders, in-line direction, and lands square. Fastball sat 82-85 mph with command and late run. Breaking ball showed 2/8 shape with fastball arm speed and late break at 68-72 mph. Also showed a changeup with near fastball arm speed and sink action at 71-72 mph.

5.Ethan Campo, RHP, Northshore HS(2017)
A 5-foot-11, 175-pound right-handed pitcher with a medium, athletic frame. Long, loose arm action into high-3/4 release with quick arm speed and regular effort. Smooth rhythm, level shoulders, in-line direction, lands square and finishes athletic. Fastball sat 82-85 mph with control and late life. Breaking ball showed 12/6 shape with fastball arm speed and late break at 68-69 mph. Also showed a changeup with near fastball arm speed and fade action at 73-76 mph.

A 5-foot-7, 160-pound left-handed pitcher with a medium, strong frame. Long arm action with a slight stab into high-3/4 release with average arm speed and regular effort. Smooth rhythm, uphill shoulders, in-line direction, and lands square. Fastball sat 70-72 mph with command and run. Breaking ball showed 2/8 shape with near fastball arm speed, early break, and thrown for strikes at 55-57 mph. Also showed a changeup with near fastball arm speed and sink action at 63-64 mph.

+ Reese Barrileaux, RHP, St. John HS(2018)
A 6-foot-1, 185-pound right-handed pitcher with an athletic, strong frame. Short arm action into high-3/4 release with quick arm speed and regular effort. Some rhythm, uphill shoulders, in-line direction, and lands closed. Fastball sat 77-82 mph with solid angle and control. Breaking ball showed 11/5 shape, near fastball arm speed and late break at 64-68 mph. Also showed a changeup with near fastball arm speed and fade action at 69-74 mph.

A 5-foot-11, 190-pound left-handed pitcher with a medium, strong frame. Short arm action into high-3/4 release with quick arm speed and regular effort. Smooth rhythm, level shoulders, in-line direction, lands square and finishes athletic. Fastball sat 77-80 mph with control and occasional life. Breaking ball showed 1/7 shape with near fastball arm speed and gradual break at 64-68 mph. Also showed a changeup with near fastball arm speed and sink action at 69-74 mph.

Breaking ball showed 2/8 shape with gradual break, near fastball arm speed at 62-63. Also showed a changeup with near fastball arm speed and fade action at 64-65 mph.

A 5-foot-9, 179-pound right-handed pitcher with a medium, strong frame. Long arm action into ¾ release with average arm speed and regular effort. A 5-foot-10, 170-pound right-handed pitcher with an average, athletic frame. Long, loose arm action into over the top release, average arm speed and regular effort. Smooth rhythm, level shoulders, in-line direction, and lands square. Fastball sat 79-81 mph with control and occasional life. Breaking ball showed 11/5 shape and late break at 67-71 mph. Also showed a changeup with near fastball arm speed and sink action at 67-69 mph.

Smooth rhythm, level shoulders, in-line direction and lands square. Fastball sat 76-81 mph with command. Breaking ball showed 10/4 shape with gradual break and near fastball arm speed at 68-70 mph. A 6-foot, 158-pound right-handed pitcher with a lean, athletic frame. Long arm action into high-3/4 release with average arm speed and some effort. Smooth rhythm, level shoulders, in-line direction, and lands square. Fastball sat 74-79 mph with command. Breaking ball showed 11/5 shape, near fastball arm speed, gradual break, and occasional tight spin at 62-64 mph. Also showed a changeup with near fastball arm speed and sink action at 63-66 mph.

A 6-foot-3, 190-pound right-handed pitcher with a long, athletic frame. Long arm action into high-3/4 release with average arm speed and regular effort. Some rhythm, level shoulders, in-line direction, and lands square. Fastball sat 75-77 mph with quality angle. Breaking ball showed 12/6 shape with gradual break and near fastball arm speed at 61-66 mph. Also showed a changeup with near fastball arm speed and fade action at 72-73 mph.
