The Prep Baseball Report Underclass Games will be held at Greer Field at Turchin Stadium in New Orleans, LA, home of Tulane University and will take place on Tuesday, July 25, 2017. The invite only event mainly features the top uncommitted 2019s & 2020s in the state of Louisiana, but it will feature players in the 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021 graduating classes. Check-in for position players will begin at 8:20 AM and the event will begin promptly at 9:00 AM. Position players will go through a pro-style workout, which includes: run times, defensive evaluation with positional velocity, swing analysis with exit velocity and round of batting practice.

Pitchers only will check-in one hour prior to their game.

Pitchers will be limited to a certain pitch count as we follow PitchSmart Guidelines.

As always, players will have their performances video-taped and hosted on the Prep Baseball Report multi-media platform that is subscribed to by over 800 college coaches and professional scouts.

The event currently features 90 of the top uncommitted prospects in the state of Louisiana.

Athletic outfielders, Terry Tolliver, Jr. (Parkview Baptist HS, LA) and Michael Clement (ED White HS, LA) are scheduled to attend the event. Tolliver posted a 6.58 60-yard time at May’s Underclass Trials, while Clement posted a 6.62 60-yard time at Tuesday’s Southern Louisiana Open.

2018 C Brennan Lambert (Catholic(BR) HS, LA) and 2020 C Austin Embrey (Russell County HS, AL) are two quality catchers scheduled to attend the event. Lambert has been a fixture for the Bears behind the plate, and hit in the middle of the order this past spring. Embrey will be a PBR Future Games participant with Team Select, as the rising sophomore has shown high-level catch and throw skills early in his career.

On the mound, keep an eye on 2018 RHP Grant Upton (University Lab HS, LA) and 2019 RHP Connor Jones (West Ouachita HS, LA). Earlier this summer our scouting staff had a chance to see the 6-foot-3 Upton, where he sat 85-88 mph, and showed a tight slider up to 80 mph. Jones was in attendance at May’s Underclass Trials, where he ran his fastball up to 87 mph.

Two highly ranked 2020 prospects, 1B/OF Michael Latulas (Loreauville HS, LA) and OF Gus Milligan (St. Louis HS, LA) also look to make a splash on Tuesday. The left-handed hitting Latulas has been on a tear this summer, showing explosive bat speed, and has consistently put the barrel on the baseball on the summer circuit. Milligan has created quite a buzz on the recruiting trail thus far, as the projectable 6-foot-2 right-handed hitter has shown a quality hit tool and athleticism throughout the spring and summer months.

Parking on Tulane campus requires a permit Monday – Friday from 8am to 5:30pm.  There is generally free off street parking along Claiborne Ave and some of the side streets around campus.  Day permits for the parking lots can be purchased for $5 from the parking services office located on the ground floor of the Diboll parking garage off of Ben Weiner Dr.

NO metal spikes at any time are allowed on the field. (Molded Cleats or Turf shoes are allowed)
NO food or drink at any time are allowed on the field (This includes: seeds, peanuts, and gum.)
Peanuts, seeds and gum are NOT allowed IN THE DUGOUT.
