We are now less than two weeks away from the completion of another memorable high school baseball season.� During the high school season, our staff covers as many high school games as possible, to not only follow-up on known prospects, but also to identify prospects that we and college recruiters should get out to see during the summer.� Today, we are going to highlight five prospects in the 2023 class that are still uncommitted and should be on every college recruiter's radar over the next couple of months.� Over the course of the next couple of weeks, we will continue with this series, focusing on the 2024 and 2025 classes as well.�

5 Uncommitted 2023 Prospects

Hayden Robinson RHP / SS / Berwick, LA / 2023 Rankings� StateRank: 21 / POS: 6 Relatively unknown heading into last summer, Robinson made a name for himself at the 2021 Future Games, by attacking hitters with his full arsenal.� Athletic and lean 5'11" 165 lbs. frame with plenty of room to add strength, the Berwick HS product has an athletic and under control delivery with a quick arm action, releasing the ball from a 3/4 slot.� Robinson has been up to 88 mph with the fastball, sitting in the 84-87 mph range, and we've been given reports that the velocity has ticked up a bit this spring.� His aptitude for spin has also been shown in our looks, as he spins a tight "11-5" shaped breaking ball at 72-75 mph, to go along with a developing changeup, which gives him a true three pitch mix.� His production this spring has also helped his recruiting process, as Robinson has led Berwick into the quarterfinal round of the LHSAA Class 3A playoffs.

Jon Robert Tollett RHP / 3B / Ruston, LA / 2023 Rankings� StateRank: 25 / POS: 7 Tollett was a Class 5A First Team All-State selection in 2021, as a sophomore, and has enjoyed a successful junior campaign this spring.� Last May, we had the opportunity to see the 6'2" right hander in a bullpen session at the Knights Knation Kick-Off Weekend.� In that look, Tollett sat 81-84 mph with his fastball and in our look this spring at him, he ran his fastball up to 88 mph, sitting 85-87 mph, and was able to hold his velocity into his last inning of the outing, and there's room for more to come, as he continues to fill out his frame.� Tollett works off that two-seam fastball, which he's able to locate to both sides of the plate, to go along with an upper 70's slider with sweeping shape and a firmer changeup with run and sink.� Colleges who are in the market for a strike throwing right-hander who competes, should definitely set their eyes on seeing Tollett this summer.

Alex Dupuy SS / RHP / Natchitoches Central , LA / 2023 Rankings� StateRank: 30 / POS: 9 Unfortunately, Dupuy and the Chiefs were knocked out of the LHSAA Class 5A playoffs in the first round by the second seeded West Monroe Rebels, but that doesn't take away from his successful junior season.� Offensively, he works from a slightly taller stance with a modified leg kick load and stride to get back to center.� In our first look at Dupuy, almost two years ago, he was mostly a contact hitter, showing barrel awareness and bat to ball skills, but with each look on after, he's continued to increase his physicality, which has shown up in his game.� On the mound, Dupuy is another strike thrower and competitor, releasing the ball from a low 3/4 slot, with some cross-action and natural sink on his low-mid 80's fastball.� Defensively, he's always been sound on the dirt, with smooth actions, soft hands, and the arm strength to stick on the left side of the infield.���

Bryce Leonard 3B / RHP / Ascension Catholic , LA / 2023 Rankings� StateRank: 32 / POS: 2 Athletic 6'0" 185 lbs. frame with a strong and sturdy lower half, Leonard came away one of the winner's of our Southeastern LA Preseason ID back in January, and has only helped his stock this spring, as he has Ascension Catholic in the quarterfinal round of the LHSAA Division IV playoffs, as the #2 seed.� At the plate, Leonard works from a simple, athletic, and balanced set-up, which allows him to repeat his swing.� Gap to gap approach with a direct path and slightly uphill extension; he recorded a maximum exit velocity of 90 mph back in January.� On the mound, Leonard has excelled this spring with his mid-80's fastball to go along with a near "12-6" shaped breaking ball.� In his last outing, against Riverside, he tossed a complete game with 10 strikeouts.���

Matthew Keller SS / 2B / Zachary, LA / 2023 Rankings� StateRank: 38 / POS: 11 "Throwback" is a term to use when describing Keller and his style of play.� The gritty, hard-nosed Zachary shortstop has had a stellar junior campaign, coming up with big play after big play for the Broncos this spring.� In what turned out to be a series for the ages against Parkway, in the second round of the LHSAA Class 5A playoffs, Keller made a highlight reel diving stop up the middle, in what turned out to be a Zachary series clinching win over the Panthers.� He also collected a line drive single up the middle and laid down a nice sacrifice push bunt down the first base line.� Keller is a winner and has been at the top of a Zachary lineup that won a super tough District 4-5A title and are now one series win away from returning to the state tournament.�
