2023 Player OF THE WEEK

The Louisiana High School Player of the Week highlights the best individual player performance for a Louisiana high school player from the previous week.  Each week, high school coaches are emailed and asked to send in their nominees for Pitcher and Player of the Week.  If you wish to nominate someone for Player or Pitcher of the Week, please email Alex Armand at [email protected]

While there can only be one pitcher and player of the week, our Diamond Notes are intended to shine a spotlight on other noteworthy performances from the previous week.

 

 

WEEK 1 Player OF THE WEEK

2023 Alex Dupuy (Natchitoches Central HS)

 

 

Week 1 Stats

-Average: .417 (5-12)

-Home Runs: 3

-RBI: 9

 

The Louisiana State University-Eunice signee has been a steady riser over the last couple of years, and has made a name for himself as one of the more reliable middle infielders in the state.  During Week 1's action, he had an offensive explosion, that led to the Chiefs finishing the week 3-1 and moving into our Power 25 Rankings at the #24 spot.  Dupuy collected 5 hits in 12 at-bats in Week 1 with 3 HR and 9 RBI.  He also excelled on the mound as well by tossing two innings, while giving up 0 hits and 0 earned runs with 5 strikeouts.
