Louisiana Lafayette recruit and Denham Springs LHP Brock Batty has been named this week’s Prep Baseball Report Louisiana Player of the Week thanks to his outstanding performance on the mound last week.

Currently ranked No. 14 in Louisiana’s 2017 class, Batty has been a fixture on the mound for the Yellow Jackets throughout his illustrious high school career.

Batty pitched 13 innings last week, striking out 19, only walking two, while surrendering 9 hits and 1 earned run.

For his efforts, Batty has been named the Prep Baseball Report Louisiana Player of the Week for the week of March 29 – April 4.
